In order for certain documents to open properly, you will need to be sure that your computer has the proper software installed. All of the software is free to download. The following are the three software programs you will need to install:

Step by Step Directions:

It is highly recommended that you print this page and keep it handy, as it will walk you through, step by step, what you need to do to install the various software programs on your computer. If, after following these steps, you are still unable to install the software, please contact our office at (619) 469-5143.

ADOBE ACROBAT READER

1) Click on the link above to begin downloading the software. This will take you to the Adobe website where you will look for the Adobe Acrobat Reader Icon which looks similar to this:


2) Click on the Acrobat Reader icon which will take you to the enrollment page. Which looks like this:


3) You will need to fill out step one, which will include your operating system. For most users, your operating system is WinXP, Win2000, WinNT, Win98, Win 95 or WinME, if you are using a PC. If you don’t know the type of your operating system, please ask the technical person in your office as selecting the incorrect operation system may cause the downloaded software not to work properly.

4) Once you have selected the operating system, skip to step three and click on the red download button.

5) You should be prompted with a screen resembling this:


6) Select the “open” option. The software should begin to download. You will know that this is occurring when you see a screen which resembling this:


7) The downloading may take several minutes, so please be patient. You will know that your download is working properly if the green bar increases and/or the % in the top blue bar increases to 100%.

8) After the software has been downloaded, your computer will automatically take you to a screen resembling this:


9) Select the “next” button. Keep selecting next or continue until you see a button which states “finish.” The software will then be installed on your computer.

MEDIA PLAYER

1) Click on the link above to begin downloading the software. This will take you to the Microsoft website where you will look for the download icon which looks similar to this:


2) Choose the download most applicable to your operating system. For most users, your operating system is WinXP, Win2000, WinNT, Win98, Win 95 or WinME, if you are using a PC. If you don’t know the type of your operating system, please ask the technical person in your office as selecting the incorrect operation system may cause the downloaded software not to work properly.

3) Once you have selected the operating system, click on the download button.

6) The downloading may take up to half an hour, so please be patient. You will know that your download is working properly if the green bar increases and/or the % in the top blue bar increases to 100%.

Hint: If you are using a dial-up Internet connection, your computer may time out and you will lose your Internet connection. To avoid this, be sure that your browser is open which the file download is in process. You can either surf the ‘Net, or opt to play a game on MSN such as Double-Trouble— http://zone.msn.com/doubletrouble/ By either surfing the web or playing a game online, your Internet connection will be less likely to be dropped.
